Llansawel is a rural community at the eastern edge of Brechfa Forest.

Llansawel Community Council serves people living in the parish of Llansawel, in North Carmarthenshire.

Mae Cyngor Cymuned Llansawel yn helpu darparu gwasanaethau i bobl sy’n byw ym mhlwyf Llansawel, yng ngogledd Sir Gaerfyrddin.

Llansawel used to be part of the electoral ward of Cynwyl Gaeo but is now part of Manordeilo and Salem. This is a rural ward consisting of villages, hamlets and isolated dwellings and farms, with a population of about 3,000 people.

Roedd Llansawel yn arfer bod yn rhan o ward etholiadol Cynwyl Gaeo ond mae bellach yn rhan o Faenordeilo a Salem. Mae hon yn ward wledig sy’n cynnwys pentrefi, pentrefannau ac anheddau a ffermydd anghysbell, gyda phoblogaeth o tua 3,000 o bobl.

The nearest towns are Llandeilo (10 miles south), Lampeter (12 miles north) and Llandovery (13 miles east).
